Where on Earth did you get that:? 36° 3'25.51"N 112° 8'28.44"W
Just outside Bright Angel Lodge on The Grand Canyon southern rim at sunset in November last year. This is actually the view out over the carpark.
In May 2005 the weather was not too bad at night but in November it seemed to turn very cold very quickly. I went from wearing a short sleaved shirt at about 17:00 to wearing another 2 layers including hood and beanie by 18:00. It got to the point where I seriously considered paying $100 for an Indian rug from the gift shop inside.
By the time the plane landed back in Las Vegas it was so hot that I was very grateful I didn't buy the rug. I guess that's the desert for you.
Us Aussies are only used to hot hot hot.
You may have noticed some problems with the site lately, particularly the Facts & Figures page. Trying to work out how to fix this but my skills are elementary to say the least.
