If the aliens ever come to earth which I seriously hope they do at some point, I reckon that Los Angeles would be high on their places to visit.
If Independence Day were a documentary it would be fair to say that they did come to earth and killed everyone a few hundred metres to the left of this shot (4th Street overpass in downtown LA).
